As the authorizer, Central Michigan University provides academic oversight and ensures the Academy meets all performance, accountability, and compliance requirements.

The Academy is governed by a committed Public School Academy Board of Directors, responsible for setting policy, overseeing academic progress, maintaining financial integrity, and supporting the mission and vision of the school.

Board Appointment

All Unity Academy Board members are officially appointed by the Central Michigan University Board of Trustees, in accordance with Michigan law and the terms of the school's charter contract.
