Frontier International Academy is placed in a diversely rich community. Curriculum
Frontier Academy’s curriculum will be sufficiently broad to allow students the opportunity to study a range of subjects including: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Arabic Language, Science, Social Studies, PE, Technology, Art and Music.

About Our Principal

Principal Mrs. Mona Hamawi
Mona Hamawi is the Principal of Frontier International Academy Elementary, bringing over 20 years of experience in education, coaching, and curriculum development. She earned her first bachelor’s teaching certificate in Elementary Instruction from the University of Jordan. She later completed a second Bachelor’s in Elementary Education (K–8 self-contained), along with certifications in Arabic as a Foreign Language and Bilingual Education. She also holds a Master’s degree in K–12 Educational Leadership from Wayne State University.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Hamawi has served as a teacher, instructional coach, and K–12 Arabic curriculum developer, contributing to teacher growth and student success across multiple educational settings.
Her leadership style is student-focused, supportive, and growth-oriented. She believes in empowering teachers, celebrating diverse cultures, and building strong partnerships with families and the community. Known for her high expectations paired with warmth and clarity, she strives to create a safe, engaging, and achievement-driven school environment where every child and staff member can thrive.
