About Our Principal
Mr. Mohammed Ishtiaq
Mr. Mohammed Ishtiaq brings more than 20 years of experience in education, leadership, mentorship, and community engagement. Originally from Bradford, England, he moved to Michigan in 2010 and has since worked with students, families, educators, and community members from diverse backgrounds.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ishtiaq has served in a variety of educational and leadership roles. He has taught at both the middle and high school levels and previously served as Director of Huda School in Franklin, Michigan. He also held the distinguished role of Chaplain at the University of Michigan, where he served on the Executive ARC Board, supported and mentored students, taught, and assisted in planning educational and community events.
Mr. Ishtiaq has more than five years of experience as a school principal and is recognized as a leader, public speaker, advisor, and mentor to youth throughout the Greater Detroit area. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Oakland University.
Known for his scholarship, sense of humor, humility, and dedication to education, Mr. Ishtiaq is passionate about creating positive learning environments, supporting students and families, and making a meaningful impact within the communities he serves.
