If the number of applications exceeds available spaces, a random selection drawing will be held in the presence of a third-party official on: TBA at the Academy.

Application Process: Four Easy Steps
SUBMIT APPLICATION
Submit your child(s) application online through the application tool. Please click on the following link to complete the first step. For preschool application please see below.
APPLICATION REVIEW
After completing the first step, our Admissions Manager will review your child’s application. Once the review is completed and your child’s application has been accepted, we will notify you by the communication preferences that you selected on how to proceed with the next step.
COMPLETE REGISTRATION
Once your child’s application has been accepted, you will be asked to complete registration forms to finalize your child’s enrollment at our Academy. These forms will help identify certain information to better serve your child.
STUDENT ORIENTATION
We will contact you to schedule a date and time for you and your family to visit our academy for student orientation.

Pillars Academy is a K-8th-grade public charter school authorized by Ferris State University. Our teachers are certified by the Michigan Department of Education.
Pillars Academy is a tuition-free public school for all Michigan residents.
All textbooks and supplemental materials are provided to students upon enrollment.
Pillars Academy has secured partnerships with educational software providers and major publishers to ensure students have legal and full access to the tools they need for learning at school and at home.
Supply lists are distributed at the beginning of the school year. Please check with your child’s teacher for specific information. If you are unable to afford supplies, let us know — we are committed to helping our families.

Students can participate in a variety of programs, including academic games, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) activities, and after-school programs.
Our Parent and Family Involvement Group also organizes enrichment opportunities for students.
Pillars Academy provides the essential tools students need, including technology devices and school supplies.
Please note that students are responsible for returning any borrowed items - including textbooks and technology - in good condition. Fees will be assessed for any damaged or missing materials.
Pillars Academy is committed to providing every child - regardless of national origin or native language - with high-quality and meaningful educational instruction.
All students are evaluated for English language proficiency, and those identified as English Language Learners receive tailored support through our ELL programs, which are designed to meet each student’s unique academic and language development needs.
According to Michigan law, children ages six to sixteen must attend school for the entire school year unless a legal exemption applies.
We expect families to ensure students are present and on time every school day. Daily attendance is crucial to your child’s success at Pillars Academy.
