As the authorizer, Ferris State University provides academic oversight and ensures the Academy meets all performance, accountability, and compliance requirements.

The Academy is governed by a committed Public School Academy Board of Directors, responsible for setting policy, overseeing academic progress, maintaining financial integrity, and supporting the mission and vision of the school.

Board Appointment

All Pillars Academy Board members are officially appointed by the Ferris State University Board of Trustees, in accordance with Michigan law and the terms of the school's charter contract.

The Board meets regularly and operates under the Michigan Open Meetings Act. All meetings are open to the public, and notice of meetings is posted in accordance with state guidelines.
