IBPYP (IB Program)
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE PROGRAMME
We are proud to be accredited for the Primary Years Program (PYP) by the International Baccalaureate Organization!
Our Mission
To promote lifelong learning by nurturing academic excellence, positive character, and appreciation of cultures.
Our Vision
To develop innovative global learners and citizens through an inquiry and project-based, student-centered instructional model.
The International Baccalaureate, or IB, is an internationally recognized teaching and learning program that engages students to become leaders of their own learning. The PYP will benefit ALL students and focuses on developing the whole child inside and outside of the classroom. Building on the GEE curriculum, teaching and learning will become more student-led and inquiry-driven.
Subjects will be connected through inquiries into broad themes such as Who We Are, Where We Are in Time and Place, How the World Works, How We Express Ourselves, How We Organize Ourselves and Sharing the Planet. Students build character through the emphasis on the Learner Profile which is a set of attributes that define the type of learner IB students aims to become. The profile combines knowledge, skills, creativity, and critical thinking to educate the whole child and prepare them to be active and responsible global citizens.
