About Us

Founded in 2014, Global Tech Academy is a public charter school authorized by Eastern Michigan University and dedicated to preparing students for success in college, career, and life. Since opening its doors, the Academy has grown from an elementary program into a K–8 school committed to serving the Ypsilanti community with a high-quality, student-centered education.

Global Tech Academy was established with a clear purpose: to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student is known, valued, and challenged to succeed. Over the years, the school has built a strong foundation rooted in community, academic excellence, and a commitment to developing the whole child.

Students, families, and staff work together to foster a safe, respectful, and engaging environment where meaningful relationships drive student success. We believe that when students feel connected and supported, they are better prepared to achieve their goals.
