Detroit Economic Club WCC Trip

Career Readiness Academy and WCC Day Agenda 2025

Location: Washtenaw Community College (4800 E Huron River Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48105)

9:15 AM- 9:30 AM: Student Arrival & General Introductions with tour guides.

• Students arrive at WCC Student Center. 

• Students will get WCC materials from different departments (admissions, career services, skilled trade brochures etc.) 

9:30 AM- 11 AM: Welcome & Introduction + WCC Tour

• Welcome remarks from Campus Representative/WCC Student. Brief overview of the day’s schedule. Introduction to tour guides and any other key speakers.

• Guided tour of the campus by WCC Students. Highlighting key facilities, departments, and student resources available to college students. Students will also be able to ask questions to a WCC student and a college representative (WCC admissions).

• Tour will end with the WCC Library/GM

11:00 am - 12:00 PM: Market Research Activity at the Library

• Location: WCC Bailey Library

• Students participate in a market research activity facilitated by Molly Ledermann and Emanuel Terrell to ensure all students are guided and actively engaged.

• Lunch will be delivered by 11:45 a.m. 

12:00 PM - 12:30 PM: Lunch Break

• Location: WCC Library Room or Gareets (Student Center) 

• CRA will have to decide what to eat for lunch (Pizza, snacks, etc). 

12:30 PM - 1:45 PM: Career Services Conversation + Entrepreneurship Conversation Wrap 

• Location: Library (right after lunch) 

• Presentation and discussion on different career services, available resources for students, and career pathways in entrepreneurship and more! 

2:00 PM: Departure

• Buses will arrive at the Student Center to pick-up students.
